How to Gently Exfoliate for Brighter, Glowing Skin

How to gently exfoliate for brighter, glowing skin

Using That's That Magic oil, baking soda, and lemon for facial exfoliation can have some benefits, but it’s important to be mindful of potential skin sensitivities. Here’s a breakdown of what each ingredient does and the benefits you might get:

Benefits

Gentle Exfoliation (Baking Soda) – Baking soda is a mild exfoliant that helps slough off dead skin cells, leaving your skin feeling smooth. However, it has a high pH, which can disrupt the skin barrier if overused.

Brightening & Antibacterial (Lemon Juice) – Lemon contains vitamin C and citric acid, which can help brighten dark spots and even skin tone. It also has antibacterial properties that may help with acne. But it can be too acidic and cause irritation, so it should be used sparingly and preferably diluted.

Deep Hydration & Nourishment (That's That Magic Oil) – Your oil helps restore moisture, counteracting the potential dryness from the baking soda and lemon. It also helps keep the skin barrier healthy, sealing in hydration.

How to Use Safely

  • Dilute the lemon juice with water to avoid irritation.

  • Use a small amount of baking soda (1 tablespoon) and mix with two pumps of That’s That Magic oil.

  • Apply lightly in circular motions and rinse with lukewarm water.

  • Follow up with a moisturizer to maintain hydration.

  • Use only once a week to avoid over-exfoliation.

⚠️ Caution: If you have sensitive skin, you might want to skip the lemon or baking soda and just exfoliate with a damp washcloth and your oil instead. Also, avoid sun exposure right after using lemon, as it can increase sun sensitivity.
